Clearwater, FL – July 30, 2025 — July has been more than just busy for Water 4 Mercy—it’s been bold. In a series of landmark events across Zambia, Tanzania, and Kenya, Founder and CEO Nermine Khouzam Rubin, together with a powerful network of partners, made major strides in dignified water and agricultural development throughout East Africa.
Walking the Journey of Dignity, One Precious Drop at a Time
From July 8–12, the team visited remote Zambian villages—Khaila, Chiuta, and Zemba—to witness firsthand the life-changing effects of Innovation Africa’s solar-powered water systems. Villagers are now trained and empowered to maintain these systems, laying the groundwork for self-sufficiency and ownership.
“We don’t bring handouts. We bring tools, knowledge, and the opportunity to thrive,” says Rubin. “Hope is everywhere.”
Driving Global Dialogue: FEWture Conference, Tanzania
From July 14–16, Water 4 Mercy partnered with CultivAid to host the East Africa Food, Energy, Water (FEWture) Global Conference at Mbeya University of Science and Technology in Tanzania. The event convened international experts to showcase Agricultural Innovation and Technology Centers (AITeC)—a scalable model providing R&D, expert training, and access to markets.
Keynote speaker Tomer Malchi, Ph.D., CEO and Co-founder of CultivAid, introduced the Agricultural Helix, emphasizing sustainable development through an integrated approach.
Groundbreaking research by Ariel Aviram (Hebrew University) revealed a dramatic nutritional boost in Water 4 Mercy villages, directly linked to its water-agriculture solutions—proving the exponential impact of strategic collaboration.
Forging New Frontiers: Strengthening Kenya’s Agricultural Innovation
Water 4 Mercy is proud to announce a strategic alliance with Kenya’s Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation. CEO Rubin signed an MOU alongside national leaders to launch five pilot irrigation schemes across Embu County, supported by CultivAid’s expertise and the Don Bosco Development Outreach Network.
Meetings with CPA Ephantus Kimotho, CBS, and Director Daniel Odera further solidified plans for integrated training, access to hybrid seeds, expert agronomists, and community-based solutions to boost productivity.
An Expanding Mission
With established roots in Tanzania, Water 4 Mercy is now expanding into Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, and Morocco—restoring dignity through smart water and agricultural solutions.
“Together, we are empowering the next generation of experts and feeding the future—nutritionally, sustainably, and with dignity,” Rubin affirms.
Recognition & Transparency
This bold momentum coincides with Inc. Magazine naming Nermine Khouzam Rubin as one of the “5 Best Iconic Business Leaders to Follow in 2025”, honoring her vision and values-driven leadership.
In addition, Water 4 Mercy has earned the 2025 Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, reaffirming its commitment to accountability and measurable impact. Notably, 100% of donations go directly to projects, with a dedicated donor covering overhead costs.
